DoubleRadius has always been committed to giving back to this community we’re fortunate to call home and support a variety of charitable causes. Many of our employees are actively involved in the Special Olympics and have volunteered their time to work at its various events, while others have dedicated their time and effort to organize disc golf charity events in order to raise funds for breast cancer research.
To further support charitable work, DoubleRadius has recently introduced a program called "Dollars for Do-ers" which offers a financial incentive to employees who spend time working with a charity. For every hour volunteered, employees earn $100, with a maximum cap of $1,000. DoubleRadius management keeps track of these hours and sends donations to the designated charities at the end of the year.
Together, the company's philanthropic efforts aim to positively impact the community and support those in need. Here are a few non-profit organizations who the DoubleRadius team have had the honor to partner with in recent years.
Union County’s Christmas Bureau Gives Back
Each year, the Union County Christmas Bureau, a donor-funded and volunteer-driven operation, comes together to help families in need during the holiday season. Since DoubleRadius’ office is located within Union County, it was the perfect opportunity to get involved and give back to our neighbors. The Christmas Bureau organized different groups to go out and purchase toys or adopt a family in order to supply their entire Christmas celebration, including meals.
During the holiday season, DoubleRadius participated in “Operation Sandwich”, which sought to prepare over 1,500 meals to be served to the homeless community in Charlotte. Our team was privileged to participate in such a compassionate and supportive community endeavor, providing nourishment and hope to so many around Christmastime.
If you’re interested in getting involved for the next holiday season, visit their website to see how you can sign up to volunteer or donate to the cause.
The Foundation for Hospital Art Brightens a Room
The Foundation for Hospital Art is a non-profit organization that aims to improve the hospital environment through art, essentially painting a brighter world. One of their initiatives involves creating large, colorful murals in hospital corridors and waiting areas to create a more pleasant and calming atmosphere for patients, visitors, and staff.
DoubleRadius organized a paint-by-numbers project for their employees, in which they ordered paint-by-number kits from the Foundation for Hospital Art. Each employee was provided with a kit and instructed to paint a panel of the larger mural, following the numbered sections. When all the panels were completed, they were assembled into a 6-panel collage and sent to a local hospital to be hung on the walls.
Part of the uniqueness of this initiative was that one of these panels was left blank for patients or visitors to paint, allowing them to participate in the creation of the artwork and uplift their spirits during a difficult time.
There are a lot of ways you can work with the Foundation for Hospital Art: become a volunteer, plan a Paintfest® event, or donate to the non-profit. No artistic experience is necessary!
Donating to the Ronald McDonald House’s Cause
DoubleRadius recently supported Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) by organizing different toy drives where multiple teams were encouraged to donate as many toys as possible in order to bring smiles to children in need. DoubleRadius was also privileged to be able to donate WiFi equipment to the non-profit, and participate in a national fundraiser called “Light the Night”. At this event, the team purchased shirts and attended a Charlotte Knights game whose funds were going towards the Ronald McDonald House and its different programs in the community.

Loaves and Fishes Local Food Bank Feeds Those in Need
Did you know that DoubleRadius actively supports our local food bank, Loaves and Fishes, by placing a collection box in our office to gather non-perishable food items over time? Then, these collected items are sent over to the Loaves and Fishes team to be distributed to those in need.
Finding a Safe Haven with the Charlotte Rescue Mission
DoubleRadius is proud to have supported the Charlotte Rescue Mission, a local charity dedicated to helping individuals struggling with addiction issues. The organization provides a safe and supportive environment and recovery programs to help individuals overcome drug and alcohol addiction and get their lives back on track. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, our team was honored to supply Thanksgiving meals to the individuals at the Mission.
