There has been a lot of talk lately about 6GHz, roadmaps, the BDC (Broadband Data Collection), and protecting yourself from overbuilds. A client had reached out with a question, which gave reason to put this video together. He explained how he had multiple little micro pop deployments using 2.4 gear and needed to build a plan to offer a better packages.
The answer for that is CBRS.
We all know that CBRS is a little more pricy than 2.4, but it gives the ability to offer faster packages to our clients and the characteristics of near and non line of sight.
Let's talk about Alpha Wireless AW3625. This is a very cool product, it is a 2 port Omni with 3 sectors built into it. Each one of the sectors can be adjusted with a flathead screwdriver for a down-tilt. So, if you have a 2 port radio, like a Cambium 450i / 450i LITE (there are a lot of other LTE manufacturers as well that make 2 port radios) this is a perfect answer (sub $3K cost) for you to service in that area.
What if you are using a 4 port radio such as a Baicells 430i / 436 or a Telrad 1000?
They also make this antenna with the same size, same form factor, the AW3672. The only difference is this particular product has 4 ports and 6 sectors built into for that mechanical tilt.
This is a perfect scenario for upgrading your clients, providing faster services, and continuing the near and non line of sight deployments .. and it also protects you from BDC overbuilds through license frequency.
