This is a unique product to the Ubiquiti UniFi Wireless lineup, but compliments the other UniFi wireless AP products currently in the lineup. The UAP-IW was designed to retrofit an existing in-wall, wired Ethernet jack to a wireless access point. It is an instant deployment device with no additional wiring necessary. I have listed a link to the quick start guide below, so you could see just how easy of an installation this product is. This product is PoE which means it works with any Ubiquiti UniFi Switch or any third party 802.3af PoE switch. It also has a pass-through Poe port which conveniently connects and powers a security camera, VoIP phone, or high end AP. The only downside is that this product is NOT 802.11 ac.
